Kings need better goal tending and coaching.
Ducks need to get younger.
There’s always hope in Gary Bettman’s fantasy NHL.
The ducks are getting old but they still have good young talent in Getzlaf, Perry, Bobby Ryan, and Jonas Hiller, I expect them to make the playoffs for the next few seasons. The Kings are young and on their way up but they need better goaltending and they need Doughtry to improve before they make the playoffs
They are both going to make it to the Stanley Cup finals and Ducks are wining the cup.
The Kings have a lot of young talent and tons of cap space.
I can see the Kings as a playoff team in a couple years. Getting a goaltender would help.
Drew Doughty had a heck of a rookie season…he could be that #1 defenceman for a good long time.
well the kings have A LOT of cap space but i think they are holding out for an amazing goalie.. and if they can get one… and learn how to play with one then im gunna put them at a 50% likely hood of making the playoffs next year and a 75% chance the year after but they reallly need someone that will keeps the puck out of the net
The Duck’s have the talent to make the playoffs consistently for the next few years, so do the Kings, but somehow the Kings never seem to make it. I don’t know how many years you can claim are a “rebuilding” year, but every year the Kings fans are forced to endure the same old story. Lots of good young talent? yeah being a lottery team EVERY season will do that. Their good young talent grows up and moves on while they draft new young talent and still never win. All the while, they’re way under the cap and never sign a top flight free agent. Only a moron would continue to support the Kings franchise, in spite of their crappy owner and GM, people still show up. I wouldn’t!
How many years have people been saying, “the kings will make it in a couple years”? Time to face reality, the ownership isn’t comitted to putting a winning team on the ice. Since the LA fans continue filling up the Staples Center anyway, they (the owner) don’t see any reason to spend more money.
-Dude, the Kings are a team I’ve always found intriguing b/c you know they’re going to explode anytime.
-Kopitar, Brown, Jack Johnson, Doughty, along a possible trade involving Vincent LeCavalier, if not then the Sedin twins maybe or Marian Gaborik.
-The Ducks if they lose Pronger in a trade still have a stacked D if Niedermeyer comes back, along with Ryan Whitney which i think hurt Penguins obviously, will have great future, but also depends on Selanne.
Ducks are old, but have a good, young goalie they could potentially lean on next season. With that age and high salary guys, their cap space is extremely limited at just under a million dollars.
Kings have a lot of talent, no real goalie and a boat load of Cap Space at $12 Million for next season.
I believe the KINGS will be in the playoffs next year. Ducks, might skate in, but I wouldn’t be shocked if they didn’t.
well the la kings are only going to get better. from the 07-08 season to the 08-09 season i saw improvement. i’d like to see the kings make it next year & possibly see that sharks v.s. kings match up in the 1st round.
as for the ducks they got some good players but as someone else already said, they are getting old. ducks will probably be in the playoffs next year.
