How Does One Become a NHL Hockey Play-by-Play Announcer?

Iam bi-racial, Black & White. I love Hockey, and have been watching it since i was 6 years old.Iam 33 now, and I also played on a traveling team from 11years old to 17. I think the NHL can ” benefit from minorities.I have practice infront of friends, and they think I would really succeed..what do you think?

    Well, did you take any type of schooling in the field?? Are you a former NHL player?? No. Then you need not apply.
    Also, how can the NHL benefit from minorities? Would more blacks watch just because there is a black commentator?? They wouldn’t watch because the commentator is white? That would make tham ****** and who needs them if that is the case.

    The first thing you need is education. Then try getting into calling hockey games on the high school or college level. Work your way up to the NHL.

    I don’t think any of the play-by-play guys working in the field now got there overnight. Just like all goals, it takes preparation and perspiration.

    Go to school for broadcasting. And you have to have connections.
