The Philadelphia Flyers are the best team. All of the other teams are stupid.
best would be the blackhawks because they have the best 4 lines going in hockey with toews, sharp, kane, and they have been getting good goaltending now the worst well i’ll go with carolina they just can’t seem to put together consecutive wins plus their goaltenders suck
blue jackets run the show and ottawa suxxxx
BEST TEAM IS CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS BECUZ OF HIGH POWERED OFFENSE PLUS THEY GOT 6 SOLID DMAN AND PRETTY GOOD GOALTENDING
WORST TEAM IS CAROLINA HURRICANES ABSOLUTELY NO OFFENSE OR DEFENSE AND CAM WARD HAS BEEN DECENT
The Carolina Hurricanes have been absolutely brutal this season. Reason why? Well their defencive crop isn’t getting the job done. Accountability is a big problem, bad coverage, and even when they’re up, late breakdowns have plagued the team. Secondly, offencive production from their star player, Eric Staal, reflects how well their offence is doing. To say the least, it’s down. Lastly, Cam Ward has been up and down this season. Generally, he’s been pretty O.K. since his first cup win, but he hasn’t been able to return to Cup form. This season is just bad for him.
The best team in the NHL has to be the Chicago Blackhawks. New Jersey and San Jose are statistically tied with the Windy City and I feel all three are very well balanced teams with a lot of skill, my decision comes down to which one I feel will ultimately win the Cup, that’s Chicago. They really are the best balanced squad in the NHL, a lot like Detroit in past years, and the 2007 Anaheim Duck’s Stanley Cup team, they have a line for everything, there’s not much you could throw at them that would throw them off. Playing at their best, I don’t see anyone winning 4 against them. They have fast guys, they have big guys, they have goal scorers, they have passers, etc.
I’m a huge Anaheim fan, and Big Game is right, they are ******* hard this year.
Best team(s)- New Jersey Devils and the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Devils are the best team in the league (stat based) and the Blackhawks are just dominant overall. The Devils have the best road record and Chicago has the best home record. Both teams have great goaltending. Brodeur is still in his prime and Huet has finally hit his streak for the Hawks. Too hard to call who is better.
Worst team- Carolina Hurricanes. Yes, I know they had many injuries, notably the one to Cam Ward who was one of the best goalies in previous years. However, he has returned from his injury and the Hurricanes still struggle. They are not only the worst team this year so far, but also the biggest letdown.
BEST #1 (west)San Jose- just look at that top line unreal and goalie
#2 (east)Washinton- Once again solid #1 line and they just have fun out there and love to win and are just a great team to watch they never quit.
WORST #1(west) Edmonton- Just not playing well together cant seem to get the offence going consistantly and seems to me pat quinn is a bad fit there he is getting very frustrated.
#2(east) Carolina- Playing better as of late, those injuries really killed them this year.
blackhawks/devils
blues/canes
Based on Overall play, Players, Records, etc…
Best in the West is Chicago based on solid goaltending pair, 4 superstar defenseman and an unbelievably balanced attack.
Best in the East is New Jersey based on Martin Brodeur, 2 Top Lines and 2 great shutdown/role playing lines, and the best winning % in the NHL.
Worst in the West is Columbus based on the fact that Edmonton has massive injury excuses and Columbus has a few minor ones. Columbus is simply playing way below their potential while Edmonton might be worse, they are doing the best the can with the hand they’ve been dealt.
Worst in the East is Carolina based on the fact that even with their short injury troubles (Ward and Staal) they were terrible before those players got hurt and they’re still pretty terrible after they returned.
Best Team – San Jose Sharks
They keep on winning and currently are on an eight game winning streak, hard to beat that. They started out rough with the struggling goalkeeping of Nabokov, but he has recovered and is playing like good old solid Nabby again. The Defense has been great Boyle and Blake have really been great leaders on that team on the first pair, plus Murry has been just dropping guys left and right. Offense you can’t have any complaints with, Heatley and Marleau are two of the leagues leading scores, and the man who centers that line leads the league in points. The whole second line except for Pavelski have already reached 10 goals, but keep in mind Joe hasn’t even played 30 games yet and is at 9.
Worst Team – Columbus Blue Jackets D:
Face it Steve Mason, starting to play better but is 2nd to last among goaltenders in the league, and Garon has not done a whole lot better either. Defense can’t stay healthy and have not played even close to as well as last year. They can’t find the back of the net, as of late they have been lucky to get two goals in a game if that. The awesome start showed promise for them, but it crumbled right after a couple of injuries.
devils are the best physically & statistically common we’ve got 3 great guys in the USA olympics (parise, langenbrunner, & martin) and elias is playing 4 Czech & also marty 4 canada
they are also in first right now which is a plus
worst rangers ;] just because i dont like them
